TYPE H SWORD

This type of sword occupies an exceptional position because of the wide period of time over which it extends, during the High Middle Ages.

It is also the most numerous of all Viking Age sword types. More than 200 specimens are known by archeology.

The handle is relatively wide, and elliptical. The pommel, triangular in shape, is often decorated with precious metal inlays. In order to offer you the best price, and in the context of sporting use, we have simplified the pommel, which is simply made of steel.

  * The leather may be medium, or dark brown coloured according to current stocks.
• Half-finished scabbard: Plywood, linen inner lining, mouthpiece made of solid wood. You just have to cover it yourself with leather. And the price is very competitive!
• Fuller: Classical fuller / Wide fuller. The wide fuller option lightens the blade by around 10%, and generally gives it a little more flexibility. The durability of the blade remains unchanged.
