Phrygian "Norman / Sicilian" Nasal helmet - 11 - 12th century
This type of helmet, from the family of "classic" nasal helmets which predominated in the central Middle Ages, is distinguished by the shape of its summit part, reminiscent of the Phrygian hat which appeared in antiquity.
This type of helmet was particularly appreciated in the 12th century, and was widely associated with the valiant Norman fighters based in Sicily. However, this type of helmet was widely used in Europe.
Made of 2mm "st3" steel. Nasal part 3mm thickness.
Everything is hand-forged by quality craftmens. Chainmail is hand-made, from the wire, to the final riveting by a specialized maker. We do not provide any chainmail / helmet from India, or Pakistan!

Our helmets are fully customizable:
- You can choose the inner circumference of your helmet.
- You can choose three types of exterior finish: classic, "raw" or "blackened".
- You can add a chainmail aventail, open, or closed (protecting the face then).
- You can choose the diameter of the rings.
- You can add borders with brass rings on the outline of your aventail.
- You can choose the method of fixing your aventail: spaced holes, close holes, system, "gutter" system, and hooks.
