Armor description

Armor replica, made based on archaeological artifacts excavated by archaeologists a long time ago from Donetsk / kharkiv region. The set includes torso, shoulders, arms and skirt part. Manufactured on order, according to your measurements.

Made after archaeological dig sketches of plates. These embossed plates are appearing around 9-10th century. But the armor itself could be dated between 9-12 century, as this shape remain in use for a long time.
The armor belonged to a Rus warrior, probably in close contact with Khazarians, and possibly with the Byzantines.

The study of lamellar armor fragments with embossed decoration is an ancient tradition among Russian archaeologists.
According to A.N. Kirpichnikov, the lamellar "bump" would increase their resistance in combat.
This type of armor is also known in Bek-Bike, Dzhangaly (Western Kazakhstan), into nomadic context.
Another similar plates are know at Sampsoniev Ostrov (Poltava region, Ukraine).

You can select the desired material & thickness (mild steel - ST3 1mm or hardened steel - 65G 0,8mm)

Shipping costs are calculated after production, based on the final weight of the armor, which may vary from one customer to another (size of the armor, hardened steel or mild steel, location of the customer...)
