Helmet description
Replica of the Carolingian helmet, as depicted in many manuscripts. It is a spangenhelm, similar, in terms of its assembly method, to previous examples of about a century, then in vogue, both in England, and on the continent.
The helmet is decorated with a sphere on its top. This helmet, although hypothetical, based on previous examples, and the existing iconography, remains the best option, unlike the Carolingian helmet in "Morion", widely refused by the current scientific community
Our helmet is fully adapted to the practice of violent combat (Eastern, "Clash", Full contact).
The face is protected by a blackened steel grid, in order to remain discreet. The sides of the neck and the back of the neck are protected by steel scales. Everything is hidden under a chain mail vent, closed on the face, composed of riveted / solid rings of 10mm in diameter, made by hand by us.
St3 steel, 2,5mm thick.
Protecting grid & hidden protections: 1,5mm thick st3 steel.
Produced within 4-6 weeks usually.
Shipping costs are calculated after the helmet is manufactured.
Indeed, the weight of a helmet varies greatly, depending on the model, the size, and whether or not a chainmail aventail is added.
